Established in 1959, Taiwan Ve Wong Corporation is a parent company of Saigon Ve Wong Corporation. Taiwan Ve Wong had a technological cooperation agreement with KYOWA HAKKO KOGYO Co., Ltd. of Japan; this furthered their new fermentation technique with the patent of manufacturing MSG. This innovation replaced the traditional method with a new technique combining gluten and water dissolution. Mass production has helped to lower costs, impacting both the domestic and overseas markets. Ve Wong thus became the pioneer of the Taiwan MSG industry.

In 1990, Ve Wong set up a joint venture – Saigon Ve Wong – with Ho-Chi-Minh-City food company, which is now located on a 15 hectare area in Ho Chi Minh City's 12th district. This facility features a factory with the most advanced and modernized production facilities for manufacturing MSG, instant noodles, several of rice products and soup base seasonings. The most popular household brands such as A-ONE, KUNG FU and SUC SONG.
